Microsoft has just updated their advanced notification page for January 2010. They will be releasing an out-of-band patch for the Internet Explorer zero day exploit tomorrow, January 21.
More information can be found here.
They have also updated the Security Advisory with more details and clarification around the vulnerability.
Ok im waiting for you guys to release this patch
You have several options for knowing when the patch has been released. We will update the RSS feed in NetChk Protect. But you can also subscribe to Shavlik XML updates and you’ll be emailed when the patch is released. If you haven’t already subscribed, click here to do so.
As always, the Shavlik data team will release support for this patch within 24 hours of release by Microsoft.
I too am waiting . Sure hope it soon Security say I have to have it deployed out tonight…..UGH hate to have to set up WSUS for one patch
My organization has indicated that if Shavlik cannot release urgent patches on the same day that Microsoft does, we’ll have to switch to Microsoft SMS. I really hope that Shavlik can pull through and release this one soon, and by soon, I mean in the next hour or two.
MS10-002 was released at 9:05 p.m. (central).
